A little about Keith

My culinary journey began at a young age fueled by passion and curiosity.

Informal training came while I was an Exchange Student in Brazil in the 80s. I spent countless hours learning from my host families live-in chef. While I attended college in Southern France I also trained as a saucier. Most notably during my time in France I found a little wine cave owned by a distinguished older gentleman, who always dawned a lab coat. Each time I visited, he would ask me what meal I would be preparing that day and proceed to pick out a wine for me and explain why that particular wine would pair with the meal. He was always spot on.

In the late 90’s, I hosted a music a cooking show on San Francisco public access TV - The Noisy Kitchen. Each week I interviewed either a local or touring band, they would play a couple of songs and then we would make a dish or meal together. It was at this time that I also began to teach culinary arts classes for students in Kindergarten - College.

Fast forward to today.

I am a culinary arts instructor, wine educator and musician. I have also been a teacher (French, History and Music) and school administrator for three decades.
